I hope to send out newsletters perhaps once a month, more often if I have special announcements I'd like to get out. Now, some of you might be asking, why do we need a newsletter with the MarlowHeights60sand70s group on Facebook? It's true I have a lot of web site followers on my MarlowHeights60sand70s group on Facebook (almost 3,000). But not everyone is on Facebook, and quite frankly, Facebook could be gone one day. Remember My Space? The newsletter is a great way keep everyone up to date on the latest news and events associated with my web site. Okay, so let's get into it!

PG County 60s and 70s Reunion Dance.
As an event associated with my web site and having been held almost every year since 2009, we're still going strong. This year's reunion dance will be held October 17, 5-9 pm, at the Bowie Knights of Columbus, Columbian Room. Please go to the following link for info on the event, as well as to RSVP to the dance.

Did you know there is a guest book on the web site?
Yes, and has been there for over 20 years. These are first person recollections of growing up in and around Marlow Heights of the 60s and 70s (and a bit of the 50s). Warning: be prepared to have several hours to spend reading all of the entries!

School Yearbooks.
There are almost 70, yes almost 70, school, yearbooks on my web site, each one that I had professionally scanned for everyone's reading pleasure.There are high school yearbooks from Crossland, Friendly, La Reine, Oxon HIll, Potomac, and Suitland. For the junior high schools there is Francis Scott Key, John Hanson, Shugart, Stoddert, and Taney. Plus there are some schools programs and school newspapers. If you lost your school yearbooks along the road of life, or just never bought one, this is the place to see them, for free!

Reunions.
There are several class reunions this year. The Potomac Senior High Class of 1976 will be celebrating their 50-year reunion on October 24, 4:30-10 pm, Embassy Suites at BWI. Go to the following link for more information and to make reservations: https://potomacmdhs76.com/
