After the end of the 1968-69 school year, the Peppermint Pipers did not return to Benjamin Stoddert Junior High, completing an amazing, but far too short, run. However, several group members that had gone on to Potomac Senior High formed, “The New Peppermint Pipers”, based out of the school, and did perform publicly. Unfortunately, the group did not endure after that one year, and they disbanded at the end of the school year. Sometimes you just can’t recreate magic--but it lives on in our memories. |
