MARLOW HEIGHTS

June 6, 2009 was the date, and we had between 25-30 people show, making it arguably our second largest turnout. We had some of the, “Regulars”, show up, but as always we had new folks show, curious to see what the ‘Sack looked like, as well as Marlow Heights. People attending were:

Checking out the old yearbooks, a familiar scene at our get togethers. That’s Anna Crowe at left, who works in the Guidance Department at Potomac, and went well out of her way to bring me a copy of the 1973 and 1975 Potomac yearbooks to buy. Next to her is Brenda (Smith) Sanford (Potomac ‘74).

Old classmates from Benjamin Stoddert Jr. High, Billie Martin (Potomac ‘75) and Bonita (Behrens) Griser (Green Valley ES and Stoddert).

Johnny and Joe Pagliocchini (Sandymount, Stoddert, Potomac). I knew all the Pagliocchini’s, as they were good friends and lived up the street from me in Deer Park Heights on Akron Street.

Sherry & Dale Antosh (Potomac, Oxon Hill teacher ‘74-’08), and Dan Ruby (Potomac ‘79), patiently await their Steak in a Sack orders, the good food from there they probably hadn’t had in years.

Billie Martin, Barbara Delano, and Adele (Habib) Traylor (all Potomac ‘75). Barb used to live right on Olson Street, across from Stoddert.

Lisa (Betterelli) Kriner (Potomac ‘74) has John Berger (Potomac ‘75) laughing like the old days, as Bill Tillett (Potomac ‘75) listens in.

That’s Shirley, who has been working at Steak in a Sack since the 70’s, and Chuck Fraley (Potomac ‘76), and no I wasn’t working the register!

Barbara Delano (Potomac ‘75, far right) isn’t buying any of Chuck Fraley’s (Potomac ‘76, far left) claim that he was an, “A” student at Sandymount Elementary, which both attended, because Fran Doyle, center, who taught there from ‘60-’73, knows better.

Brenda (Sweeney) Teutsch (Potomac), who also lived in Deer Park Heights, and whose brother, Bob, I used to work with at Jr. Hot Shoppes in front of Iverson Mall.
